Tanya Tieman
Tanya, owner of Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon, opened her first U.S. salon in the heart of Hyde Park Square on September 5, 2000. Her second salon soon followed opening on October 27, 2005 in Crestview Hills Town Center. Tanya was born and raised in Canada, where she was an award winning hairstylist. She owned a salon in Abbotsford B.C. Tanya has won awards in progressive hair cutting and coloring, best in men’s cutting, and even Hair Dresser of the Year. Tanya has trained in Canada, U.S., London, France, and Italy making her a master in her field. Tanya also works in film, TV, commercials, image consulting, and photography, and make-up artist. Most recently Tanya was awarded the position to work on the 2011 film “The Avengers” as a hairstylist.

Samantha brings to us her vast knowledge of the hair salon industry from working in several different salon environments in Louisiana. She moved to Cincinnati in the summer of 2009, and immediately joined the team at Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon and trained at both locations. Samantha was best suited in Hyde Park, and now is the General Manager. It is her unique knowledge for business that combines with her passion for the hair industry that makes Samantha a driving force in our team.

Elizabeth Terrill
Liz started out her career thirteen years ago, and has been with Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon since 2000. Starting out, she assisted Tanya learning the most advanced techniques for cut and color. Liz eventually grew to become one of the top stylists at Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon, and she now has her own assistant that she helps educate. She continues to teach new talent stylists at the salon through hands on experiences with her own clients. She has traveled across the globe to train in the current fashions of the hair industry, including Italy, Miami, New York. While in Miami, Liz trained under the amazing Vidal Sassoon. Kristen Groseclose
Kristen started with our team in February 2013, but has been doing hair for over a decade, beginning in her home state of New Jersey. In addition to working as a hairstylist, she is a Color Educator for the Wella Color line, teaching seasonal trend techniques in regional salons. She holds a Wella Master Colorist Certificate and continues to push herself creatively by attending advanced training in NY, LA, and Chicago. Kristen’s passion is women’s cuts and coloring techniques. She sees her job as uncovering client needs and challenges and, together with the client, collaborating on a look that celebrates the client’s unique features and compliments her skin, life, and style. Kristen’s philosophy is to enhance client looks through cut and color, but never at the expense of the hair’s integrity. She says, “I am humbled by my wonderful clients’ support, trust and loyalty, and I don’t take that lightly. I have the best job in the world!”

Kenji Cummings
Kenji Cummings
Kenji trained at Aveda Frederic Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has been with our team at Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon since July 2005. Kenji is a men’s hair cutting specialist even being featured in Cincinnati Magazine for his work with men’s styles. He also loves focusing on color especially blondes and cutting. As a top designer, he works closely with our New Talent Stylists helping them grow and develop their technique. He has done work on various photo shoots, and his work was featured on an episode of MTV’s Made in 2008.

Rae Inman
Stephanie “Rae” Inman started her career out at the Aveda Fredric Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has been with our salon since 2004, and is one of the top level stylists. Rae has her own assistant who she educates through hands on experience with clients. Rae has traveled the world training under the best stylists in the industry. She has most recently been to New York and Italy. Rae specializes in offering men’s and women’s styles that range from trendy and fun to low-maintenance layered locks. Laura Hughes
Laura originally started out her career in the beauty industry doing skin care. She was a top level aesthetician when she decided to expand into hair and makeup. She trained at Eastern Hills Academy of Hair Design, and is currently one of Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon’s top stylists. She has been with the company for over 10 years. Laura has trained in New York, Chicago, and Miami, under global educators learning state of the art techniques including thermal reconditioning and Keratin Complex by Coppola. Laura is also an educator helping the young talent perfect their skill. She has done studio work and participated in research and development work for major beauty companies.

Bianca Vayna
Bianca began her career in L.A. where she lived and worked for 24 years. She re-located to Cincinnati from Los Angeles in March of 2012, and immediately joined our team. Bianca has worked at some of the most prestigious salons in Beverly Hills, where she developed an eye for color, red carpet styling, the art of Balayage, and the craft of extensions. Her clientele consisted of models, actors, musicians, costume designers, fashionistas, executives, and everyone in between. In addition to salon work, Bianca has also done makeovers for various television programs including Top Model, The Tyra Banks Show, and What Not to Wear. She has developed her own creative philosophy on color and styling, and believes both are an artistic expression of personal beauty. Bianca’s passion, extensive knowledge of the science and art of hair color, awareness of current trends, and down-to-earth approach keep her clientele looking chic and fresh.

Brandie has been perfecting her skills as a stylist since she started working with Tanya 17 years ago. Tanya invited Brandie to join our team in the fall of 2012. She specializes in blow dry styles, up-dos, and various color and cutting techniques, fitting each to her client’s needs. In addition, Brandie is experienced in working with curly hair. Her desire to sharpen her skills has taken her to Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles for different hair classes and shows. “I love making my clients feel and look their best,” Brandie says.”

Rachel Bayer
Rachel Bayer
Rachel attended school at the Aveda Fredric’s Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has been with Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon since 2006. In that time, Rachel has made quite an impact on our salon. She has worked hard to become an educator for Keratin Complex by Coppola for our region. Rachel also specializes in nail care, and works to teach all new talent stylists proper nail technique, especially Shellac. Rachel has a passion for bridal up-do’ and make-up artistry. She is our go-to bridal expert in the salon. She offers onsite hair and makeup for weddings and other special events. During her time as a stylist, Rachel has traveled to New York to train at Milbon International, and participated in Wella Trendvision 2008 and 2011. In the summer of 2011, she received her certification as a Deva Curl Stylist. Rachel has also been featured in Taste, and Inspire Magazine. Sydney Jackson
Sydney studied at Aveda Frederic’s Institute and graduated with honors. After graduating in 2010, she worked as an assistant at Avalon Salon for 9 months learning state of the art techniques from master stylists. After much hard work, she became a full time stylist. Having gained several years of experience, Sydney joined our team in February 2013. She is certified in Coppola Keratin smoothing treatments , and has worked as a hair stylist on the set of Discovery Channels, “Mystery Diagnosis,” to list a few of her achievements. Samantha Maloney
Samantha has had a passion for doing hair long before it became her career. After graduating high school, she attended Aveda Fredric Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has been at Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon since graduating in 2009, and assisted Tanya Tieman and other top level stylists. Jessica Keyes
Immediately following her graduation from Oak Hills High School, Jessica enrolled at The Salon Professional Academy to follow in her mother’s footsteps in becoming a cosmetologist. She has been with Tanya’s Image and Wellness salon since January 2011. Being a New Talent Stylist, she trained under other top level stylists in the salon learning cutting edge technique. Jessica continues to build her education platform by attending weekly classes. She also competed on a global level in Wella’s 2011 Trend Vision competition. Jessica specializes in cutting, coloring, and nails. Jessica states that, “Growing up seeing my mother’s passion for the industry, I knew this was my calling. Sarah Combs
Sarah Combs Sarah started her career attending school at Creative Images. Since graduating Sarah has joined our team here at Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon. In her short four months of working here, Sarah has paved her way to a successful future. She attends classes every week with her fellow New Talent stylists. In these classes, Sarah learns various techniques including: cold perms, up-dos, curly hair techniques, and other various classes to help her towards great accomplishments. While taking clients of her own, Sarah also trains under our top stylists assisting them with their guests. Color and Cuts are one of Sarah’s great passions. Kelly Morgan
Kelly graduated from Michael’s College of Hair Design in 2010. During that time, she received her licenses in both Ohio and Kentucky. She joined our team in March of 2012, and as she puts it, “loved every minute of it.” Kelly also says that, “I feel like I’ve been doing hair my whole life. My goal is to make my clients feel comfortable, appreciated, and strive to exceed their expectations while keeping a positive upbeat attitude.” Kelly loves to learn all the latest trends and techniques. Immediately after graduating Michael’s College of Hair Design, Chelsey joined the Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon team in the Fall of 2012. Because she has always excelled in art classes and enjoyed the creative world, Chelsey knew she would have a career as a hair stylist. Specializing in color and foiling, she creates traditional and classic looks for all of her guests. Julie started with our team in February 2012. She decided, after much deliberation, to leave her career as an educator and pursue her passion for Makeup. Julie helps with the administrative duties in the salon, and is an accomplished and creative makeup artist with experience in all aspects of makeup. She has trained in all the recent trends, and attended classes with Tanya to become certified in airbrush makeup. Julie’s diverse background and experience creates a unique style accredited only to her and her artistic talent. Pat Nixon has been an esthetician with Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon since 2001. Pat previously owned and operated her own salon, so she knows the business in and out. With her 26 years of experience she provides a full range of services at Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon including, facials, chemical peels, Micro-dermabrasion, waxing, body treatments, and make-up. Before becoming an aesthetician Pat practiced massage and reflexology, hair, and nail care. Pat has traveled the globe learning the most advanced techniques in her field. She has trained in Las Vegas, California, New Jersey, and Austria, and even worked for some time in Maui. Julie makes sure to take time to always stay on top of the newest education for her and for her guests. She has trained in Swedish Massage, Hot Stone, Chronic Shoulder Pain, Cranial Sacral, and techniques to relieve TMJ discomfort. Along with this Julie specialized in Therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage. One of Julie’s major accomplishments was being voted in the top three “Best Massage Therapist 2010,” in City Beat. Julie declares, “I love what I do! Cat graduated from the International Academy of Hair Design in 2005. After joining Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon’s team she quickly advanced through levels, and is now a top level stylist. Cat loves to do short haircuts and special occasion up-dos. She is also a master nail technician providing services with meticulous attention to detail. Cat enjoys participating in continuing education events outside of the salon, and most recently attended the America’s Beauty Show in Chicago. Cat’s work has been showcased in BridalRama and Wella’s 2011 Trend Vision competition. Maria quickly developed a passion for the industry while she was working the front desk at a large salon, and eventually decided to attend cosmetology school. After graduating in 2006 from Michael’s School of Hair Design, she immediately became part of the Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon team. She began her career by assisting Tanya and worked her way up to become one of the top level stylists in the salon. Maria excels at special occasion styling, curly hair types, and ethic hair services. She frequently works on-site work for wedding parties, has participated in several runway events, as well as local and national photo shoots. Maria has continued to volunteer as a leader of the Younglife Capernaum Program in Northern Kentucky, which is for people with special needs. Maria has such a love for people and serving them.

After going for her Bachelors in music, Julia decided to take her creative abilities and use them for a different form of art. She began her cosmetology career at Michael’s School of Hair Design and completed her course work in 2006. When Julia joined our team in 2010, she brought a new and eclectic vibe to our salon. Julia quickly advanced through our salon level system because her skill level far exceeded expectations. She has competed in Wella’s TrendVision competition by doing editorial hair and is currently providing furthering education for stylists. Being a stylist runs in the family for Kaitlin. She grew up following her mother throughout the salon. Needless to say, becoming a stylist for Kaitlin was inevitable. Kaitlin began her dream to become a stylist when she graduated from Aveda Fredric’s Institute in 2009. Kaitlin started her career here at Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon shortly after graduating. She assisted top stylists, who helped her learn the skills and talent which make her the success she is today. Stella joined our team in April of 2012. She is a graduate of Aveda Fredrick’s Institute where her passion for men’s cuts and short hairstyling developed. She loves the creativity involved with these techniques. Stella developed a love for hairstyling at the early age of 13. It was then that she noticed how much art and creativity goes into this industry. She enjoys beginning with a blank canvas and molding the hair into a work of art. She realized very quickly that this was the career path she wanted out of life. Shortly after graduating from The Aveda Fredric’s Institute in 2012, Christie joined our team as Tanya’s personal assistant. Tanya’s clients have all expressed how friendly, caring, upbeat and fun Christie is. Prior to pursuing her dream career as a hair stylist, she explored other occupations, including one year of service in the US Army. Brian Kemp
After being in the industry of Design and Drafting for 8 years, Brian decided to take a new career path. His desire to make people feel good about themselves and become a Cosmetologist was created by his family having been in the salon business for some time.
