Tanya Tieman
Tanya, owner of Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon, opened her first U.S. salon in the heart of Hyde Park Square on September 5, 2000. Her second salon soon followed opening on October 27, 2005 in Crestview Hills Town Center. Tanya was born and raised in Canada, where she was an award winning hairstylist. She owned a salon in Abbotsford B.C. Tanya has won awards in progressive hair cutting and coloring, best in men’s cutting, and even Hair Dresser of the Year. Tanya has trained in Canada, U.S., London, France, and Italy making her a master in her field. Tanya also works in film, TV, commercials, image consulting, and photography, and make-up artist. Most recently Tanya was awarded the position to work on the 2011 film “The Avengers” as a hairstylist.

Samantha brings to us her vast knowledge of the hair salon industry from working in several different salon environments in Louisiana. She moved to Cincinnati in the summer of 2009, and immediately joined the team at Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon and trained at both locations. Samantha was best suited in Hyde Park, and now is the General Manager. It is her unique knowledge for business that combines with her passion for the hair industry that makes Samantha a driving force in our team.

Victoria Galvin
Victoria joined our team in 2009 as a hair stylist after graduating from Aveda Frederic’s Institute, as a Managing Cosmetologist. After assisting our top stylists and taking clients of her own, Victoria realized that she liked the business aspect of the salon better, and started school at Cincinnati State for Marketing Management. She is currently our Assistant Manager and Marketing Director in Hyde Park. She helps with the daily office work, as well as, getting the Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon brand known across the state. Liz started out her career thirteen years ago, and has been with Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon since 2000. Starting out, she assisted Tanya learning the most advanced techniques for cut and color. Liz eventually grew to become one of the top stylists at Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon, and she now has her own assistant that she helps educate. She continues to teach new talent stylists at the salon through hands on experiences with her own clients. She has traveled across the globe to train in the current fashions of the hair industry, including Italy, Miami, New York. While in Miami, Liz trained under the amazing Vidal Sassoon. Rae Inman
Stephanie “Rae” Inman started her career out at the Aveda Fredric Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has been in the industry for over 8 years. She is one of the top level stylists at Tanya’s Image and Wellness, and has her own assistant who she educates through hands on experience with clients. Rae has traveled the world training under the best stylists in the industry. She has most recently been to New York and Italy . Laura Hughes
Laura originally started out her career in the beauty industry doing skin care. She was a top level aesthetician when she decided to expand into hair and makeup. She trained at Eastern Hills Academy of Hair Design, and is currently one of Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon’s top stylists. She has been with the company for over 10 years. Laura has trained in New York, Chicago, and Miami, under global educators learning state of the art techniques including thermal reconditioning and Keratin Complex by Coppola. Kenji Cummings
Kenji trained at Aveda Frederic Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has been with our team at Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon since July 2005. Kenji is a men’s hair cutting specialist even being featured in Cincinnati Magazine for his work with men’s styles. He also loves focusing on color especially blondes and cutting. As a top designer, he works closely with our New Talent Stylists helping them grow and develop their technique. He has done work on various photo shoots, and his work was featured on an episode of MTV’s Made in 2008.

Rachel Bayer
Rachel Bayer
Rachel began school at the Aveda Fredric’s Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has been with Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon for five years. During those five years, Rachel has made quite an impact on our salon. She has worked hard to become an educator for Keratin Complex by Coppola for our region. Rachel also specializes in nail care, and works to teach all new talent stylists proper nail technique, especially Shellac. Rachel has a passion for bridal up-do’ and make-up artistry. She is our go-to bridal expert in the salon. She offers onsite hair and makeup for weddings and other special events. During her time as a stylist, Rachel has traveled to New York to train at Milbon International, and participated in Wella Trendvision 2008 and 2011. Megan is a graduate of Toledo Academy of Beauty. She graduated in 2007 and has been at Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon ever since. Megan started out assisting top stylists, and has quickly moved up in levels due to her hard work and high skill level. Megan has attended extensive training sessions by industry leaders in New York City. She is certified in Keratin Complex by Coppola, and stays current on the latest cuts and colors by attending education seminars. Melissa Syravong
Melissa moved to Cincinnati four years ago, and began her career at Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon. She attended Adrian Beauty Academy in Adrian, Michigan to pursue her love for hair. She has been in the business for the past 8 years, and has been trained in Michigan and Oregan. In her teen years Chris always loved experimenting with new hairstyles on her friends, so she knew from a very young age that the salon business was for her. After a few years in college, she wasn’t satisfied with her career path so she made the decision to attend Aveda Frederic Institute and follow her dreams in the hair industry. After graduation from the managers program at Aveda Frederic’s she immediately started at Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon, and has been here since 2009. She quickly built her career in the salon, and was recently promoted. This past spring she competed in the Wella Trend Vision 2011 competition, doing editorial hair and makeup. Immediately following her graduation from Oak Hills High School, Jessica enrolled at The Salon Professional Academy to follow in her mother’s footsteps in becoming a cosmetologist. She has been with Tanya’s Image and Wellness salon since January 2011. Being a New Talent Stylist, she trained under other top level stylists in the salon learning cutting edge technique. Jessica continues to build her education platform by attending weekly classes. She also competed on a global level in Wella’s 2011 Trend Vision competition. Sarah started her career attending school at Creative Images. Since graduating Sarah has joined our team here at Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon. In her short four months of working here, Sarah has paved her way to a successful future. She attends classes every week with her fellow New Talent stylists. In these classes, Sarah learns various techniques including: cold perms, up-dos, curly hair techniques, and other various classes to help her towards great accomplishments. While taking clients of her own, Sarah also trains under our top stylists assisting them with their guests. Color and Cuts are one of Sarah’s great passions. Abby has always been passionate about hair. She started her career at Paul Mitchell the School, graduating in January 2011. She joined Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon shortly following. Abby wanted to expand her learning, and decided to go back to Michael’s College of Hair Design to earn her Ohio managing license, as well as here Kentucky Cosmetology license. As a new edition to our team, Abby learns daily under our top stylists. She is taught some of the best techniques working hands on as an assistant. Pat Nixon has been an esthetician with Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon since 2001. Pat previously owned and operated her own salon, so she knows the business in and out. With her 26 years of experience she provides a full range of services at Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon including, facials, chemical peels, Micro-dermabrasion, waxing, body treatments, and make-up. Before becoming an aesthetician Pat practiced massage and reflexology, hair, and nail care. Pat has traveled the globe learning the most advanced techniques in her field. She has trained in Las Vegas, California, New Jersey, and Austria, and even worked for some time in Maui. Julie makes sure to take time to always stay on top of the newest education for her and for her guests. She has trained in Swedish Massage, Hot Stone, Chronic Shoulder Pain, Cranial Sacral, and techniques to relieve TMJ discomfort. Along with this Julie specialized in Therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage. One of Julie’s major accomplishments was being voted in the top three “Best Massage Therapist 2010,” in City Beat. Julie declares, “I love what I do! Gina took a break from salons and worked as an insurance agent for 10 years, but began to realize how much she missed this industry and decided to return to her first love. As a new talent stylist, Meredith assisted under top designers in the salon which help refine her technique. Her creativity and dedication to the industry helped her quickly build her career. Meredith’s skill level was so advanced that she was even chosen to return to her alma mater to be an educator for up and coming designers. Meredith’s specialties include color and precision cutting. She took some time off in 2010 when she joined the National Guard in order to give back to her country. Cat graduated from the International Academy of Hair Design in 2005. After joining Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon’s team she quickly advanced through levels, and is now a top level stylist. Cat loves to do short haircuts and special occasion up-dos. She is also a master nail technician providing services with meticulous attention to detail. Cat enjoys participating in continuing education events outside of the salon, and most recently attended the America’s Beauty Show in Chicago. After a short time of working for the Aveda Fredric’s Institute as an administrator, she quickly began to realize that her place was behind the chair. She became part of the team at Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon in 2010. Ashley has a great deal of motivation and perseverance which has helped her career flourished.She attends a multitude of on-going education courses in order to continually enhance her knowledge and push her limits in bold hair color and precision cutting. She completed the training to become a certified Cutting Coach for Aveda in 2010, and in 2011 competed in Wella’s Trend Vision competition. Maria Tracy
Maria quickly developed a passion for the industry while she was working the front desk at a small salon, andeventually decided to attend cosmetology school. After graduating in 2006 from Michael’s School of Hair Design, she immediately became part of the Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon team. She began her career by assisting Tanya and worked her way up to become one of the top level stylists in the salon. Maria excels at special occasion styling, curly hair types, and ethic hair services. She frequently does on-site work for wedding parties, and participated in BridalRama in 2011 by styling runway wedding hair. Maria has volunteered as a leader with the Young Life program in Northern Kentucky since 1999, and believes that her connection with teenagers has enabled her to stay in tune with current trends.

Being a stylist runs in the family for Kaitlin. She grew up following her mother throughout the salon. Needless to say, becoming a stylist for Kaitlin was inevitable. Kaitlin began her dream to become a stylist when she graduated from Aveda Fredric’s Institute in 2009. Kaitlin started her career here at Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon shortly after graduating. Brittini joined Tanya’s Image & Wellness Salon in 2010 after graduating from Gateway Community and Technical College in cosmetology. In the beginning of her career Brittini assisted top stylists at Tanya’s Image and Wellness Salon, where she continued to build on her success. She strengthens her knowledge of hair by attending classes weekly. Brittini has taken her skills to a global level, by competing in Wella’s Trend Vision competition. Graduating from Michael’s College of Hair Design in December of 2010, Eisley was determined to find the salon that met her criteria. When she saw the atmosphere and the standards that Tanya has created for her salons, she knew she had found her home. Eisley has been diligently working through the assistant program and has grown as a stylist. She has progressed so much that she is taking her
own clients as well as still assisting our top stylists to continue her growth. Eisley is always eager to participate in all education classes and attends our in salon classes every Wednesday. After graduating high school she decided to go to college for 2 years, always knowing she was going to end up in the hair world.
